skater and Hall of Fame inductee. Active during the 1940s, 1950s.

Overview

The life & career

Billy Bogash was inducted into the National Roller Derby Hall of Fame in 1953, the year after his mother Josephine 'Ma' Bogash entered the institution's inaugural class. As the first second-generation inductee, Billy's elevation represented an early acknowledgment that roller derby would be passed down through families — a pattern repeated later with the Atkinsons, Gammons, Paynes, and Seltzers.

He competed in the banked-track era following Leo Seltzer's reformulation of the sport. The specific teams, seasons, and statistical record of his career are documented in roller derby retrospectives and family archives.
