Public images from the archive may be viewed, shared, and referenced for discussion, education, research, and community remembrance. We encourage sharing that helps more people discover this history and connect with the archive.

Public images carry a small Roller Derby Legacy origin mark (the two-skates emblem with RollerDerbyLegacy and rollerderbylegacy.com) placed in an unobtrusive corner. Please do not crop out, cover, or remove this mark. It exists so a shared image always points back to its source.

When you share or publish an image, please credit Roller Derby Legacy and link to rollerderbylegacy.com. Every public image page and the image viewer provide a one-click Copy citation and Copy source link.

Use the citation shown on each image, which follows this form:

Roller Derby Legacy Archive, “[Image title],” [Collection name], [permanent image URL], accessed [date].

Public display does not automatically grant unrestricted or commercial reuse, and it does not mean Roller Derby Legacy owns every underlying historical photograph. Some items carry specific rights conditions.

Item-specific restrictions always take precedence over general sharing. Where an item is marked restricted, download may be disabled and the applicable condition is shown on the image. Please respect those conditions.

For commercial licensing, publication, exhibition, or broadcast use — or if you are a rights holder — please contact the archive curators before use so we can confirm the appropriate permissions for that specific item.
