Roller Derby Legacy is operated by NoJo Enterprise Co., Ltd. (株式会社NoJo Enterprise), a company organized under the laws of Japan, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is the personal information handling operator responsible under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) for information processed by this service.

For visitors browsing the public archive we collect only what is needed to operate the site securely. For registered contributors we store your account email, a public display name (you choose what is shown), and the contributions you submit (photographs, identifications, region annotations, birthday proposals, and supporting evidence).

We retain operational security signals (such as login and abuse-prevention metadata). These internal signals are never shown publicly and never sold.

The archive may use automated vision tools to suggest text (OCR) or possible matches in an image. These suggestions are advisory evidence for curators only. Automated output is never published as fact, never used to identify a person canonically, never creates or merges historical-person records, never verifies a birthday, and never overrides a human decision. Automated suggestions are never published as canonical fact.

To prioritise quality and protect the record, we maintain an internal contribution reputation system that rewards curator-confirmed accuracy and evidence quality — not raw submission volume. These scores and any advisory abuse/collusion signals are private to authorised moderators and curators. They are never shown publicly, and the signals are advisory: they never automatically ban, suspend, or publicly accuse anyone. Manual adjustments and exemptions are recorded with a timestamped audit entry.

Verified facts (such as a confirmed birthday) are locked; corrections require evidence-backed challenges that a curator reviews. We preserve the full history of values, evidence, reviewers, and decisions so the record can be audited and, where needed, corrected.

Contributed files enter a private, secure quarantine and are scanned for malware before any public exposure. When automatic publication is enabled, files that pass the malware scan and have contributor-confirmed rights are published automatically without a manual approval step; files with uncertain rights are preserved privately for review, and malware or failed scans are never made public. Advisory AI/OCR suggestions are never published as fact and never override a human decision. We may restrict, unpublish, annotate, correct, or remove material while investigating a concern.

Photographs may show identifiable people. Privacy, publicity, and safety concerns — including minors, sensitive personal information, and the interests of estates or surviving family — are handled on review and may be restricted or removed independently of any copyright question.

Under APPI and applicable law you may request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or cessation of provision of your retained personal data, subject to legal conditions. Deleting your account removes or de-identifies your login and personal account data but does not automatically delete materials already accepted into the archive; specific items may be addressed through a removal request.

Uploaded media is stored in private, access-controlled storage and passes through a security review before any public exposure. We do not expose internal storage locations, device identifiers, IP addresses, or linked-account evidence on any public surface.
