Gerry Murray was inducted into the National Roller Derby Hall of Fame in 1956. She competed at the highest level of the women's banked-track game in the 1940s and 1950s. She was married to fellow Hall of Famer Gene Gammon, who was inducted three years later in 1959; together they raised a family that included Mike Gammon, himself a 2004 inductee.
