The 1950s
VerifiedTelevision era peak. The National Roller Derby Hall of Fame opens in 1952 honoring Ma Bogash and Johnny Rosasco. Toughie Brasuhn, Gerry Murray, Ann Calvello, Ken Monte, and the Bogashes define the on-track game. The Westerners take rosters through 1957. By 1959 six active teams compete in the league.
