Story

The life & career

Gene Gammon was inducted into the National Roller Derby Hall of Fame in 1959. He skated in the men's banked-track game during its post-war competitive peak. He married fellow Hall of Famer Gerry Murray (HOF 1956), and their son Mike Gammon followed both parents into the Hall during the 2004 reopening — making the Gammons one of the institution's first three-member family lineages.
